Last night was so special to me! Skyler and I broke the law, PARTNERS IN CRIME! But for a good reason...there is a park about 5 minutes from us that is right on the Ocean! Yesterday was a gorgous day, so the stars were so bright and clear at night. Around midnight, we bundled up and took our quilts to the park. We cuddled under the starlite sky for about an hour, just talking and loving eachother! We loved it! The law breaking went on somewhere between seeing the sign reading "Park Hours 6 am- 10 pm" NBD We are now making star gazing something we do quite often! Maybe we'll go during park hours and sit by the ocean! Sounds nice, nah we like to break the rules sometimes ; )

My very first, Seattle Mariner's game! Wednesday night we headed to Safeco Field to watch the Mariners play the Tampa Bay Rays. Naturally, because Seattle hasn't been doing very well they lost, and we didn't even stay the entire game because we were FROZE! BUT, it was super fun!! We did the whole sheebang, and spent a ridiculous amount of money on food at the ball park, so worth it though. I had the world famous GARLIC FRIES!!! they were so delish, and Sky had Fish n' Chips! I smelled like garlic until Friday I swear!! Seattle is such a pretty city, and it was a pretty clear sky for the most part, just got chilly when the sun went down! Skyler is such a fun date planner! He's the best!!

...Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday's at their Finest

On Friday nights Skyler spends the evening with his brothers at his parents. They do boy things so I usually relax at home!!! So tonight I did took it easier on my workout for the day and did a Yoga! And it was actually a great work out! I actually broke a sweat! After my personal yoga class I made homemade Cinnamon Rolls to celebrate May Day tomorrow!! You're probably thinking what the heck is May Day! haha its celebrated on May 1st! Different cultures celebrate it differently, and my culture is to bake Cinnamon Rolls! (what I'm getting at is...I really didn't have a reason other than they're challenging but fun to make and I've never made them without mommy assistance ; ) My May Day celebration turned out very delicious smelling! One thing I was a little worried about was I made a double batch on accident and forgot to split the dough before rolling it into the cinni rolls! So each roll was double what it should have been! Needless to say they are MASSIVE cinnamon rolls. CinneBon you better watch it! : ) Tomorrow Skyler has planned a DAY DATE!! Cucumber sandwiches, a park, Seattle sunshine (mean's no sunshine), and my Skyler...tomorrow will be perfect! Going to bed now. My apartment smells scrumptious! Sweetdreams everyone!

YUMM! and none of them overflowed the pan, a few of them puffed way up because they were forced up instead of out by the surrounding rolls! HA.

Eight Legged Nightmare!

SO! Skyler and I went for a run late Sunday night! It was so fun, relaxing, and much needed! We came home and naturally Skyler went to take a shower...all of a sudden I hear "BABY DO NOT COME IN HERE!!!" A little background info, I am scared to death of spiders. In 4th grade I had found a spider in our basement growing up and had a nightmare that spiders were attacking my head, I was so terrified I couldn't walk through the halls at my school I was so convinced they were getting me. I could go into great detail about that story because I remember it like it was yesterday! Needless to say I still have that nightmare sometimes. ANYWAYS! I walk into the bathroom and Skyler is crouched over the tub and saying "don't look you don't want to." But I did anyways because I had no idea what it was. .00001 seconds later I was standing on the toilet scared to death. The biggest spider I have ever seen was sprawled out in the tub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't get closer than I was on the toilet to take a picture but not even exaggerating it was as big around as a baseball! OK, prob more like a tennis ball but still that is HUGE! it was soooo creepy! K so I'm like where did it come from, oh my gosh if there's one there's more, how are we going to get it out, how are we going to shower?? Within seconds I had asked 25 questions at once. Oh and did I mention the body of the beast was enormous! So, Skyler gets a pitcher of water and our genius idea is to wash it down the drain...well then I was like what if it crawls back up???? So we get the bleach! Sorry Sucker, you're dead now! (I'm itchy typing this story). After examining the crime scene for a few minutes, I was able to shower, staying clear of the drain. BUT, I had yet to take a bath since yesterday!!!! Hopefully we won't see anymore of those anytime soon! Oh and I didn't have a nightmare Sunday night, LUCKILY!

Nike Headquarters!

This past Thursday Skyler had the opportunity to visit Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. He was selected by the Zumiez Lead team as Player of the Year in 2009. This trip was one of the things he won for recognition! Way to GO! Sky, Troy, and Taylor the other co-worker who won the award as well flew to Portland Thursday and spent the day there. Skyler had so much fun! They also got to visit the Nike Employee store where all of the latest Nike merchandise is discounted to employee price! $$ LUCKY! So, Sky got a few new things and suprised me with new hot pink and grey running shoes!!! I LOVE THEM!!! He's the best!!! So thoughtful of him. What a great opportunity it was to visit Nike. Skyler deffinitely deserved it for working so hard and always doing his best! Thank's Zumiez for recognizing his hard work! Take a look at some of the pictures. The Nike campus is GORG!

Hi everyone! I thought it was about that time to update our Blog, I promise some day I'll update weekly!

I finished my internship a short while ago and I was offered a job!! So that was very exciting for us. The only down fall was the hiring process has taken so long. If you know me well, I do not do well not being busy all of the time. So, I have been setting personal goals for each day that I am home playing "house wife" It has been tough finding things to do that don't cost money of course, since I am currently not working!! But the great thing is Skyler and I both have faith, and we know as long as we keep living our life righteously and obey the Lord, He will bless us. We are given trials and challenges to make us stronger. With that said, I received my orientation date of Thursday the 22nd, that's next week!!

Something very exciting that is coming up is my graduation from Medical Assisting school!! My mom, and hopefully my dad and Kyle are coming to Seattle for my graduation!!

Skyler, and I have both been researching information to start school either this summer or fall. My passion has always been Dental Hygiene, once I got married a quicker goal to help Skyler support our new family (Me and Sky) was Medical Assisting and I really do love it, but probably not a long term thing.

I have set a goal to run a 5K this summer. I haven't picked the race yet, but I love running and would love to run a short race like that! Last time I ran a race was the Thanksgiving Day Race in Ohio, and I'm pretty sure I walked the 2nd half!! ha. No walking this time!

I think that is pretty much all for now, really nothing to new in our busy lives!! We miss our family and friends and think about you often. We will write again soon!

Hi everyone we're back! It's been a LONG time! Things have slowed down for us and I have time to blog and catch everyone up on our AMAZING life! So excited! We've had so many exciting things happen in the past few montsh so let's get started!!

In december, 2009, Skyler and I celebrated our first Christmas married before I left for a week or so and flew to Ohio. I got the iPhone with a Juicy Couture cover, gosh he knows me well doesn't he! Sky got new clothes, new Acqua Di Gio! oolala and lots of new dress clothes! In Ohio it was fun to spend time with Mom and family! I also got ot see friends wich were so fun! Oh and how could I forget I had my wisdome teeth pulled as well, how fun that was, NOT. Swollen cheeks, lots of drugs, and celebrating Christmas! It wasn't very pleasant the few days after my surgery. Sick and very love sick for my Skyler, but Mommy took good care of me! I was lucky to have her during recovery. So, I made it back home to Seattle right before Santa came on Chrstimas Eve. We spend the night at Skyler's parents for Christmas morning. Christmas morning Santa brought me a Tiffany's charm bracelet! I was soo suprised, Sky is so good to me! I'm very spoiled! Well I take that back, WE spoil eachother! HA We had a very fun Christmas, filled with so many blessings and lots of love. Merry Christmas...goodbye 2009!

Sometime in December I made my first sugar cookies and we went to a light show!

January flew past, I think this was when I was ambitious enough to make my own Bread!! yummy!

February! Valentine's Day!! My favorite holiday! Of course Skyler suprised me with 12 roses, Dove Chocolate, breakfast in bed and a snuggly teddy! It was such a fun day with my Valentine!

Somewhere in the mix of Feb and March we bought are very first CAR!! check it out!!

March! My 21st Birthday and graduated school! Sky got me Tiffany earrings for my birthday and took me to the Macaroni Grill!! Happy 21st to me! I tackled the Washington DMV, got my horizontal license! wahoo and I am officially Ashley Brown and a WA resident! Pretty excited about all of that! I spent my Birthday pampering myself with a mani and shopping! Mom got me my pink stethescope for my Internship, Mom and Danny sent me a care pacakge of scrubs, and I also received many cards wishing me Happy Birthday from family!! Thanks to my family, I love you all and am very blessed to be so loved! Just recently I finished school and have now started my internship at Virginia Mason in Kirkland, WA. I LOVE IT! Skyler is still at Zumiez and is planning to start school back up in the fall! March as been so fun filled and it's not even half over. My bestfriend, Brooke, comes to Seattle in 11 days! Can't wait! Now you can see why I haven't blogged in awhile, whew!

So I've pretty much briefed everyone up until now. We are so thankful for our blessings. We love our families and friends, near and far, and we think of you often!

Happy Birthday Noah!! Today was Noah's birthday he turned 11! Today was a very special day in the Brown home. We had steaks for dinner, chocolate cake for desert, presents for Noah, and tree decorating with the whole family! It was super fun! Now we've all snuggled down to watch White Christmas! Happy Birthday to the most amazing man in the whole wide world, Skyler! We celebrated Skyler's Birthday this week! He's so spoiled and couldn't wait until his actual birthday for his gift from me, so he got it last weekend. I bought it with the girls during our Shopping Trip. But I also tried to make his big day the best!! I made him a Candy Gram and posted it at work and brought him lunch at work! It was a super fun day, we love birthdays. We're celebrating Birthday Brunch tomorrow at Sky's parents. Happy Birthday to my baby! Such a little blessing he was on November 18th...23 years ago and still is today! hugs and kisses.

My two very best friends, Alissa and Erin, made a surprise trip to Seattle a couple weekends ago!! (Girls if you're reading this the order of your names goes by rank, sorry about it, Erin you know I LOVE YOU!) It was SO much fun to see them. It's always such a good surprise to see best girlfriends! They got here super late Friday night. We were up until 5 am Saturday morning chatting!!!! GIRL TALK! We went shopping in Lynnwood on Saturday!!! Then we got Starbucks, Seattle Style DUH. Came home had a photo shoot, shot by the most amazing photographer Erin Carlisle. She's opening her own Studio... HA...then we watched THE HANNAH MONTANA movie!!! yes i'm obsessed with Hannah Montana! and the girls loved it too! Sunday we had breakfast and they left shortly after noon, long roadtrip home. I'm so glad they made the trip to see Skyler and me. I loved it! can't wait to see them again soon I hope! Thanks for coming girls, meant the world to me!

Mommy Came to Seattle...

Since last post we have been super busy with mommy visits, girlfriend surprises and a very special Birthday just this past week!

Three weeks ago...gosh its been that long...Mom came for the weekend! It was so fun to see her! We had such a great time together! She flew in late Thursday night after a long day of traveling we headed home cuddled chatted for awhile and went to sleep. We got up Saturday morning for a day of shopping and fun! We got everything we needed to making yummy homemade Cinnamon rolls and homemade bread with my new red Kitchen Aid mixer that Mom got me at my bridal shower! It hasn't had much use so we were going to put it to the test. Took Mommy to Jamba! She loved it! Saturday night we spent making our delicious Cinnamon rolls and half way through mixing the dough the mixer started smoking!!! yikes! Called kitchen aid and another one is on the way. Luckily we got our dough mixed and the rolls done but no bread...sad. Mom had to leave Sunday morning! We loved having her here miss her tons! Can't wait till' Christmas! Thanks for coming mommy!

It's been so long!! Sorry everyone we've been so busy these last couple months, but are loving every minute of it! We took some time our of our busy schedules and enjoyed fun things to do during the fall. The leaves are changing pretty colors and Seattle weather is just begginning! RAIN : ) suprisingly i LOVE it...gives me a reason to wear my rain boots! Last weekend we spent the day at Troy and Joni's. We carved pumpkins with Noah, drank homemade apple cider since Starbucks was closed. ( mine was better ; ) And Noah made all kinds of cocoas. Peppermint, caramel, white chocolate. It was all soo yummy! Happy Fall Love you All!!!!

SOOO...after a super long day, work till 4 school till 10:30, my favorite part of each day is coming home and seeing Skyler awaiting me. Well tonight was a bit different. I had been talking to my mom it was an urgent phone call to her at 1 AM in Ohio. I gave my first injections today at school and had to tell her about it. So I talked to her all the way up until I walked into our apartment...and this is what I walked in on...

Fun in the Sun

This weekend we had so much fun in the sun!!! Friday night Skyler, Me, Olivia, Wes, and all of the Browns went to the Snohomish County Fair for a little bit! We rode rides, watched fireworks, and had a huge basket of french fries to share. Fair food is always the yummiest but super bad for your health! Sky Olivia me and Wes rode the Ring of Fire...basically a rollercoaster that goes around in circles for what seems like FOREVER. I seriously thought I was going to throw up at one point and I love rollercoasters! Later Olivia, Noah, and I rode the SIZZLER. Olivia and I squished Noah on the side the whole time it was really funny. By the time we got home we were all super tired and ready for a good nights rest for the next day, except the guys they stayed up all night playing HALO! Story of their lives.
Saturday I woke up before the guys cleaned up, did Saturday chores and got ready for the lake. We headed out around 2ish once everyone was here, awake, and fed. The lake we went to was so crowded and the water was super chopping not good for wake boarding which is what we wanted to do. But we had the surf board out and surfed a ton. Towards the end of the afternoon the wind was super chilly on the boat and the air was cool. We were out until about 8ish. Then we came home took warm showers, settled down and ordered pizza for everyone and watched ladie's choic, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC! which happens to be our first owned BLUE RAY MOVIE! and one of my favs! The weekend was super fun foir us! Back to work on Monday and school in the evening! We enjoy spending the weekends with friends and family we love! Can't wait to do it again!

Happy 4th of July!!! We had so much fun this weekend! Friday night Skyler and his friends went to a movie, I stayed home baking a yummy fruit pizza to take to the lake for the 4th! That was more fun for me than a movie! After the movie everyone crashed here! SLUMBER PARTY! Saturday we all got up early to go to Lake Sammaish! I made all the guys Fun Fetti Waffles with my super nice waffle maker! They were yummy! We spent the whole day at the lake boating with everyone! Sky, Noah, and I were enjoying the front of the boat while people wake surfed in the back. We decided to jump in the water all at once...we held hands counted to three and Noah was the silly one that actually thought we would jump in too! So funny...but before I knew it Noah pushed me in the water!!! So thats when I couldn't use my excuse to wake surf as "I don't want to get my hair wet!" So I surfed! and loved it!!! After a long day at the lake, Sky and I came home showered and napped. When it got dark we went back over to Sky's parents to watch fireworks at the neighbors!! So cool to have a huge show of fireworks right in your yard. You don't have that convenience when there's no where to buy fireworks in Ohio since it's ILLEGAL! The show was great! We were just so tired by midnight...so we headed home. What a great weekend and a happy 4th of July!

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Sky's parents hanging out with the boys. It was a super exciting day because Skyler pulled Noah's LAST BABY TOOTH out! So cool! After the procedure in the bathroom we all got bowls of icecream and cuddled up on the coach. We watched the movie Ice Age, well, Noah and I did Sky and Taylor fell asleep! It was a super relaxing day for everyone. It's very fun for us to beable to spend time with Skyler's brothers!

After our fabulous wedding day we drove off in the well decorated by my amazing bridesmaids TT and spent the night at Salish Lodge and Spa! Salish is where Skyler proposed just a few months ago. It is a very special place to us! Here are a few pictures of our suite. We had breakfast in bed Sunday morning! Yummy! Super romantic with a view of the falls from our window! Salish is our perfect spot, and we love it!

We are officially married!!!! as of Saturday. It was the most amazing day of our lives! Finally together forever. It was a very busy week last week. My mom and I left Ohio on Sunday for a very long three day trip to Seattle! It was fun for mom and me to spend lots of time together, I mean A LOT of time! Ha. Tuesday I arrived in Washington, it was so good to finally see Sky again! We spent the rest of the week moving me into the new apartment and finishing last minute wedding stuff! I received my endowments on Friday! It was a very special day for Sky and me! All in preparation for Saturday. It couldn't have been any better. The feeling of eternal life with the person you love most is indescribable. We were so fortunate to have so many family and friends there to support us at our sealing and reception. Thank you to everyone we really appreciate it! We are now living in our new home together enjoying married life to it's fullest! In two weeks we will be heading back to Ohio for a reception there. We are very excited to spend time with family and friends there as well! For the time being Sky is working and I am looking for a job! We have been very blessed, this past weekend especially! Officially Ashley Jane Brown and I love it!!

Bridal Shower!

Last Saturday my mom held a bridal shower for friends and family of mine in Ohio. There were tons of friends and family! It was so fun to see everyone! My bridesmaid, Brooke helped out a ton so glad to have her here for our whole wedding experience!! Stacia made my bouquet of bows!!! SO pretty! A huge thank you to my mom and my Aunt Cori who made the party happen!!! Wouldn't know what to do without either of you!

Exciting news aside from the fantastic bridal shower...Skyler moves into our new apartment tomorrow! Eleven more days and I begin driving home!! finally! That's all for now! Thanks for visiting our blog!!

March 7th 2009...the Pefect Day! Skyler proposed! He took me to Salish Lodge and Spa at Snoqualmie Falls. It was beautiful and so perfect. We dined at an exclusive table overlooking the falls which was yet again perfect...just like him!

Seattle...Home Sweet Home

Last weekend I escaped Rexburg to visit Skyler in Seattle!! It was so good to see him and his family. Friday, the day I arrived, we spent the evening at the Rockwoods. They hosted a couple's shower for Skyler and I. That was so much fun for us we really appreciated it! We are so blessed to have friends and family in our lives that love us so much! Saturday, we spent most of the day out and about! And Sunday was more relaxed! We took advantage of that and cuddled on the couch all afternoon. Monday was my last full day in Seattle until our wedding day! It was very bittersweet. Each little step we take brings us that much closer to the day we will be together forever. Since Monday was my last day we ran errands...tux, suits, and flowers were on the agenda! Monday night Skyler and I went to Coldstone for icecream! Poor Noah... wished he was lucky enough to go to. The Flight back to school and more wedding plans came Tuesday morning. Tears tumbled down my cheeks as we said goodbye to eachother. Skyler and I will be driving to Minnesota together in about a week. Not too far off. But, even though we are far in distance we are so close in heart.
